Military ground vehicle engineering symposium to convene in Michigan

NOVI, Michigan. The Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS) will bring together military, industry, academic, and international representatives from Aug. 11 through 13 to discuss ground vehicle technologies and engineering, the organization announced in a statement.
Hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Michigan Chapter, the event will take place at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, the statement reads.
The symposium will include U.S. Army officials, engineers, defense contractors, commercial technology companies, international partners, and venture capital firms. Discussions will focus on technologies intended to improve the capabilities, survivability, and performance of military ground vehicles, according to the organization.
The event is being held near the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center in Warren, Michigan, the statement says. Those organizations manage and sustain a large portion of the Army’s equipment.
GVSETS is entering its 18th year and is intended to connect government organizations with manufacturers and technology developers working on military mobility and vehicle modernization, the organization adds.
