JOHNSTOWN, Penn. Production of the Kongsberg Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Remote Weapon Station (RWS) counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) has transitioned from Kongsberg, Norway to Kongsberg Protech Systems USA in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, with the first system completing assembly and testing during March 2022.

Saab received a contract modification from the U.S. Marine Corps worth approximately $122 million within its existing Force on Force Training Systems -- Next (FoFTS-Next) program, described by Saab as a full turnkey live training capability that also includes equipment deliveries for individual Marine weapons and vehicles, together with logistics and maintenance support and training-exercise support at all major U.S. Marine Corps installations worldwide.

U.S. ARMY YUMA PROVING GROUND, Ariz. U.S. military forces "took another step toward achieving a military Internet of Things" -- according to a news release from the U.S. Air Force -- when tests run with fifth-generation aircraft overcame longstanding connectivity issues to share actionable operational data in their native secure digital “languages” with and through multiple sources for the first time. This early-December 2020 test was the latest demonstration run with the open architecture underpinning the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS).
