MOSA INDUSTRY AND GOVERNMENT SUMMIT & EXPO -- NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. Keynote addresses at the upcoming MOSA Industry and Government Summit & Expo -- set to be held September 22-24 in National Harbor, Maryland -- will have senior leaders from the Tri-Service community and Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) sharing a high-level perspective on MOSA [modular open sysetms approach] priorities, defense modernization, interoperability, and government–industry collaboration. The keynotes will highlight strategic direction, emerging opportunities, and the path forward for accelerating MOSA adoption across the defense enterprise.

Speakers will include:

  • Brig. Gen. Timothy Helfrich (PAE for WA), Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Fighters and Advanced Aircraft, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, U.S. Air Force
  • Col. Ryan C. Nesrsta, Project Manager, Utility Helicopters Project Office, Capability Program Executive Aviation, U.S. Army
  • Mr. Jason Thomas, Systems Engineering Lead, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy

The MOSA Industry and Government Summit & Expo aims to convene government, industry, and technical communities to advance MOSA as a strategic enabler for defense acquisition and innovation. Now that modular open architectures are becoming central decision criteria across programs, the summit is an opportunity to deepen expertise, exchange practical insights, and shape how MOSA drives affordability, adaptability, interoperability, and mission effectiveness across defense systems.
