USAF F-16s to receive audio, noise-reduction systems

ARLINGTON, Va. Defense and aerospace engineering company Terma North America won a contract worth $44.3 million to equip U.S. Air Force F-16s with its Terma 3D-Audio system.

Under the terms of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Terma will  engineer, integrate, produce, and support the 3-D audio and active noise-reduction systems for the Air Force's F-16 C and D aircraft models.

The contract -- which also covers repairs, spares, and support equipment -- is expected to be completed by January 2024.
