ANDOVER, Mass. Mercury Systems has announced the availability of its new avionics data recorder, storage, and transfer system, built for the purpose of giving air and operations crews with intuitive high-speed secure and reliable data exchange.

According to the company announcement, the new system is aimed at use in both rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft to enable critical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) applications.

The family of newly introduced products include the High Definition Video Recorder (HDVR), highly scalable convection-cooled recorders designed for platforms needing high-fidelity data capacity, video and audio compression, and faster read/write speeds. The Advanced Data Transfer Systems (ADTS) feature fast data transfer with 1,000 MB/s data transfer speeds, 100 MB/s+ SATA read/write speeds, crash-survivable memory options, and encryption to speed information exchange and protect data during mission-critical operations. In addition, the Data Storage Systems are network attached storage (NAS) units engineered to deliver high-performance multilevel security in remote, inhospitable environments that are also platform-agnostic and intended for use in data-intensive critical missions.

All systems are built with modular, open architectures, according to Mercury Systems officials.
