SAN JOSE, Calif. Officials at LynuxWorks, are providing its board support package (BSP) and DO178B Level C Artifacts for a single-board computer (SBC) from Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions. The SVME/DMV-183 SBC will make use of a new BSP that is a part of the LynxOS-178 2.2.2 real-time operating system (RTOS) release. LynuxWorks made the announcement at the Design West show last week in San Jose, Calif.

The BSP adds support for single and dual Freescale MPC7447A/7448 PowerPC processors that use AltiVec technology.

The Curtiss-Wright board can support as much as 2 GB of DDR SDRAM and with the BSP adds DO-178B Level C artifacts for the CPU Support Package (CSP), the Device Resource Manager (DRM), and the Board Support Package (BSP) components. The SBCs have 64 KB L1 cache, 1 MB L2 cache, three Ethernet interfaces as fast as Gb speed, as well as two 64-bit PMCs on independent PCI buses.
