HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Officials at Abaco Systems announced the release of AXIS version 7.0, an intuitive software environment encompassing the development cycle of embedded computing applications that include radar, sonar, signals intelligence, and image processing. Representatives state, it can also aid developers to meet size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements.

AXIS 7.0 features include updated AXIS MPI and NVIDIA GPUDIrector support, DataView toolkit, support for ARM processors and NVIDIA Tegra K1 and X1, as well as EventView - an analysis tool that allows developers to help with application performance.

Engineers designed AXIS - a suite of tools and libraries - to aid the development of applications that complement the tools and libraries available from the open community to help developers improve application efficiency and also reduce development time. Officials explain, it is portable across different operating systems, processor architectures, and fabrics.

The AXIS View GUI provides a user interface to create, configure, build, load, run, scale, visualize, and tune multiple applications across distributed multi-threaded, multicore, and multi-node platforms. Demonstrations with various features of the AXIS FLow and MIP lays, as well as signal processing demonstrations come with the AXIS package.
