New real-time operating system and display showcased at MOSA Summit by DDC-I

PHOENIX, Arizona. DDC-I will demonstrate its DO-178C Deos real-time operating system and integrated display capabilities at the upcoming MOSA Industry & Government Summit & Expo, the company announced in a statement.

The MOSA-optimized Deos safety-critical real-time operating system incorporates the latest DO-178C Design Assurance Level A multi-core verified baseline, and the MOSA Summit display will include demonstrations on an NXP i.MX8qm processor that features advanced graphics processing capabilities, the statement reads.

Attendees will witness two safety-critical demonstrations: one will focus on avionics instruments using the Ensco IData cockpit display graphics tool suite for human machine interface displays, and the second will highlight instrument capabilities with Ansys SCADE's display design and development environment, the company says.

"Deos was built from the ground up with a modular architecture and standard interfaces that emphasize portability, scalability, and reuse, enabling avionics designers to reconfigure their systems with minimal impact on hardware, software, and DO-178 recertification,” says Greg Rose, vice president of marketing at DDC-I. “Deos utilizes a DAL-A linking loader that allows OS binary components and their artifacts to travel separately, thereby enabling components to be added, removed, and reapplied to other system configurations with maximum reuse of DAL-A artifacts."
