Virtual combat training contract won by Lockheed Martin

ORLANDO, Fla. Lockheed Martin engineers won a contract to provide technical support for virtual combat training systems at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.
The Air Force uses the DMOC for distributed virtual combat training exercises as well as testing and experimentation. The 705th Combat Training Squadron and Lockheed Martin engineers work together to link assets among the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps as well as coalition partner nations.
Lockheed Martin experts also work with Air Force officials to the develop tactics, techniques and procedures for both tactical and operational training events.
The DMOC architecture combines virtual and constructive simulations across different networks to support and generate a synthetic battlespace, which models weapons and Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) systems.
