Kelvin Hughes announces Single Mast Solution, radar system for surveillance at Eurosatory 2014

PARIS. Kelvin Hughes is demonstrating their Single Mast Solution (SMS), SharpEye SxV radar, and command and control display software, CxEye, at Eurosatory 2014.
Kelvin Hughes' SMS can be securely fastened to a portable, vehicle-mounted, or fixed-structure mast system via a simple mounting interface. The SMS is also equipped with the SharpEye SxV radar and integrated with electro-optical sensors, making it well-suited for a variety of operational requirements.
The SMS provides a 360 degree pan and tilt capability, which allows sensors and cameras to be mounted on either side of the mechanism with the SharpEye SxV radar mounted directly above. Since the radar is located above the cameras, it is free from any interference. Additionally, the cameras or sensors can be operated independently from the radar.
Additional mounted options include long range and low-light optical sensors, loud hailing systems, searchlight systems, and thermal imaging cameras.
When the SharpEye SxV is deployed as part of the SMS along with the CxEye control and integration software, the user is able to gain full situational awareness by combining camera images and radar. The CxEye can be displayed on a touchscreen device or laptop, and combines tracking and track fusion from multiple sensors into a single display.
