Missile Defense Agency signs $88.6 million contract for ballistic missile system support

ALEXANDRIA, Va. Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) has been awarded an $88.6 million competitive cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for specialty engineering in support of technical, engineering, advisory and management support for the MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
According to a statement from the Department of Defense, under the terms of the contract, MTSI will work with MDA on engineering sensor, directed energy, and space systems; MTSI will also support BMDS training, operations engineering, and concurrent testing activities as part of the BMDS effort to help protect allies, regional interests, and deployed forces.
Work under the contract will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama; Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of October 2019.
