Elma Electronic will be showcasing its latest developments based on open standards referred to in the MOSA [modular open systems approach] directive. Come see the latest deployable design for the Army’s CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) program, and how we can accelerate RF development with Elma’s MORA Development Platform at Booth #120.

Deployable CMFF Platform with SAVE-compliant tray

This 3U CMFF (CMOSS mounted form factor) chassis is both SOSA and CMOSS aligned as well as SAVE-compliant. It is ideal for C5ISR implementations in ground vehicles, tactical combat environments and high-performance ground or rotary wing processing applications.

With the emerging requirements centered on rapid technology insertion and lowering sustainment costs, the reuse of existing capabilities and common hardware and platforms based on open standards technologies, like Elma has done with this new CMFF chassis, meets these current needs and sets the stage for future military application development.

The new, mission-ready chassis is optimized for SWaP (size, weight and power), and is designed to mitigate shock and vibration, while staying within the standard A-Kit vehicle envelope (SAVE) dimensions. Maintenance ports are on each slot and user interfaces are on the front panel.

MORA Ready Development Platform – live demonstration

The MORA-Ready Development Platform simplifies the process of creating RF signal processing capabilities and accelerates integration of existing applications. Featuring Sciens Innovations helux™ Core, a hardware-agnostic combination of libraries and firmware modules, the platform significantly accelerates RF signal generation and system development.

The MORA-Ready Development Platform is aligned to the SOSA™ standard, integrating a choice of high-performing RF payload plug-in card (PIC) to provide interfaces aligned to MORA and Ground Vehicle Architecture (GVA) for the VICTORY Data Bus (VDB) and MORA Low Latency Bus (ML2B). Available integrated with a choice of payload cards, Ethernet switch, power supply, and I/O PICs from a broad ecosystem of hardware suppliers.
