U.S. DoD awards $551 million contract for COTS cybersecurity products and services

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded has awarded three companies spots on a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) worth up to $551 million over five years to provide McAfee cybersecurity products across the DoD.
EC America (immixGroup, an Arrow Company, McLean, Virginia), DLT Solutions (Herndon, Virginia), and International Systems Marketing (ISM, Rockville, Maryland) will partner with McAfee to fulfill the enterprisewide BPA through DoD’s Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) program.
The BPA calls for the most current commercially available McAfee products, maintenance, and support for DoD, intelligence community, and Coast Guard activities around the world. The McAfee offerings include data protection and encryption, database security, endpoint protection, network security, security analytics, security management, server security, security information and event management, web security, and all McAfee warranty and support services.
According to the DoD, the ESI is an official DoD initiative sponsored by the DoD Chief Information Officer to lead in establishing and managing enterprise commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IT agreements, assets, and policies.
