Leonardo DRS obtains additional $58 million contract for mounted military computer systems

ARLINGTON, Va. Leonardo DRS announced today that it has received an additional $58 million in orders from the U.S. Army Mission Command Program Office to supply updated combat computing systems called the Mounted Family of Computer Systems (MFoCS).
Under the contract, Leonardo DRS will provide the Army with dismountable tablets, processor units, docking stations, interconnecting cables, and three sizes of ruggedized touchscreen display units that are readable in bright sunlight.
MFoCS systems are undergoing installation in ground combat and tactical vehicles to provide faster, mobile, modular computing capabilities for the U.S. Army and other services. The new systems also support simultaneous applications plus integration with additional sensors and communications networks.
Leonardo DRS will performing the contracting work in its Melbourne, Florida facility.
