BETHPAGE, N.Y. Northrop Grumman Corp. won a $113.7 million advance acquisition contract from the U.S. Navy for five full-rate production Lot 2 E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft long-lead materials and related support.

The contract win helps bring the total current E-2D aircraft procurement -- including low-rate initial production and full-rate production aircraft -- to 30. The Navy's E-2D program of record is at 75 aircraft.

Last month, Northrop Grumman provided the Navy with their 10th E-2D Advanced Hawkeye. Currently an additional 10 aircraft are in various stages of manufacturing and pre-delivery flight testing at the Northrop Grumman's Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence in St. Augustine, FL. Initial operational capability with the U.S. Navy remains on track for 2015.
