56th ANNUAL AOC INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND CONVENTION, WASHINGTON, DC. Pentek (Upper Saddle River, New Jersey) announced at the AOC show a new entrant to its family of Talon signal recording and playback systems, the RTR 2654 26.5 GHz RF Sentinel Intelligent Signal Scanning rackmount recorder.

The RTR 2654 -- which combines a Pentek Talon Recording System with a 25.6 GHz RF tuner and the company's Sentinel intelligent signal scanning software -- automatically scans the RF spectrum from 800 MHz to 26.5 GHz for signals of interest and monitor or record bandwidths up to 500 MHz wide, which, the company says, makes it suitable for military, security, and government intelligence (SIGINT, COMINT, and ELINT) applications.

“The RTR 2654 Sentinel recorder greatly expands the scanning spectrum over previous Pentek products to 26.5 GHz, covering the vast majority of popular RF signal bands,” said Rodger Hosking, vice-president of Pentek.

Visitors to the AOC Convention may see Pentek's latest product at Booth 422.
