ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida. Engineers at EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. released the Condor GR2S-A4500 – a 3U OpenVPX form factor video graphics & GPGPU output card designed for high-performance embedded computing (HPEC) apoplications that is also aligned to The Open Group Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Technical Standard, Edition 1.0.
The Condor GR2S-A4500 leverages the NVIDIA Ampere architecture supporting the NVIDIA RTXTM A4500 GPU which can process data from multiple sensors while utilizinusingg machine learning (ML) capabilities to deliver real-time actionable intelligence to mission-critical applications. With 5888 NVIDIA CUDA cores, 46 RT Cores (2nd generation), and 184 Tensor Cores (3rd generation), this SOSA aligned producgt is targetd at multi-intelligence applications involving low-latency data processing, at the edge computing, electronic warfare (EW), digital signal processing (DSP), airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled target detection, and other autonomous sensor payloads.
The Condor GR2S-A4500 comes with 16 GB GDDR6 video graphics memory with error correction code (ECC memory), NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA for increased bandwidth speeds, and dedicated H.265/H.264 encode and decode engines for real-time ISR data collection and analysis. The NVIDIA Ampere 4500 GPU provides as much as 17.66 TFLOPs of FP32 and INT32 floating-point performance and provides embedded systems with as much as 2x the throughput for matrix operations than previous generations for intensive workloads.
“We are excited to be releasing the SOSA-aligned Condor GR2S-A4500 3U VPX card as it brings compelling compute advantages to open architecture systems with performance improvements in graphics rendering, 3D-modeling, AI Inferencing, machine learning, and edge processing,” says John Payne, Senior Product Manager at EIZO Rugged Solutions.
This product is offered in conduction-cooled or air-cooled configurations, with the air-cooled version also supporting optional DisplayPort outputs. The Condor GR2S-A4500 is also designed to meet MIL-STD-810 for defense and aerospace environmental specifications for temperature, shock, vibration, and power.
