The XMCM01 is the latest XMC form factor single board computer (SBC) to join GE Intelligent Platforms' wide range of mil/aero-targeted processing solutions.

Based on the Marvell ARMADA XP (Extreme Performance) series of multicore processors, the XMCM01 offers a low power solution to a wide range of SWaP-challenged applications.

The ARMADA XP series integrates up to four Marvell-designed ARMv7 compliant 1.6 GHz 32-bit CPU cores along with a host of I/O peripherals to offer one of the highest levels of integration in the industry. By employing advanced design methodology and process technology, the ARMADA XP delivers impressive performance per watt to empower applications across the mil/aero spectrum.

The ARMADA XP series supports SMP (symmetric multi-processing)/AMP (asymmetric multi-processing) modes with hardware cache coherency and 64-bit DDR2/DDR3 memory interface at 800 MHz clock rate (1600 MHz data rate) to enable very high-performance system design.

Designed specifically for harsh environments, the XMCM01 is ideal for mil/aero applications where high reliability and survivability are a must. Available in five air- and conduction-cooled ruggedization levels, the XMCM01 offers a low power solution either as a standalone SBC or as an incremental add-on to existing host cards.

The XMCM01 will be fully supported by comprehensive Deployed Test Software (BIT) with operating system support planned for VxWorks® and Open Source Linux®.
