Air Force bomb carriage and release system integration and support contract won by Raytheon

DULLES, Va. Raytheon won a U.S. Air Force contract to deliver aircraft integration and life cycle technical support on an advanced bomb carriage and the release system for aircraft. The Joint Miniature Munitions Bomb Rack Unit (JMM BRU) work will enable the Air Force and U.S. Navy to operate with fewer aircraft.

The contract also calls for investigation and analysis; engineering; aircraft integration; training; testing; simulations; modeling; material and software updates; test hardware; initial spares; and procurement of all related hardware to support the activities.

Raytheon already has received its first delivery order on the $35 million contract.
