GE Rugged mCOM10-K1 Mini COM Express module delivers 327 GFLOPS
Eletter ProductModule dramatically increases the scope of applications that can exploit the parallel processing of data-intensive applications to include highly SWaP-constrained environments
By taking advantage of the 192 Kepler GPU cores in NVIDIA's Tegra K1 SoC, the GE Rugged
mCOM10-K1 Mini COM Express module delivers up to 327 GFLOPS of processing capability – yet consumes 10 Watts (or less) of power. And: it measures just 55mm x 84mm. That makes it ideal for demanding applications in harsh environments that are severely SWaP-constrained. The package may be small and light weight – but the mCOM10-K1 doesn't compromise on features or connectivity, with 6 GBytes of memory, integrated HDMI/LVDS graphics interface, Gigabit Ethernet port, SATA interface, 5 USB ports, RS-232, audio in/out and 8 GPIO ports.
The mCOM10-K1 extends general purpose GPU capability into a low power envelope, dramatically increasing the scope of applications that can exploit the parallel processing of data-intensive applications, particularly in video and image processing, radar, and sonar.
On-board components are specifically selected for their reliability in demanding conditions. Unlike solutions designed for benign environments, the processor and memory are soldered to the board for maximum resistance to shock and vibration. Extended mechanical construction protects the module, which is designed for optional conformal coating to provide additional resistance to moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes.
The COM Express architecture extends the useful life of the subsystem by allowing a simple, cost-effective upgrade of the processor module alone. Long-term cost of ownership is reduced while ensuring that performance keeps pace with changing needs.
The mCOM10-K1 is backed by GE's industry-leading programs designed to minimize risk and cost, speed time-to-market and maximize long term value.
