U.S. Navy contracts for communications services at its base in Djibouti, Africa

ROME, N.Y. Technology and systems provider Rome Research Corp. -- a subsidiary of PAR Technology -- has won a U.S. Navy SeaPort-e task order to provide telecommunications operations and maintenance services at the Global Information Grid facility at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa. The value of the task order is approximately $19.8 million over a one-year base period and four one-year options.

Matthew Cicchinelli, president of PAR’s Government Business, said of the contract: “We are pleased that the U.S. Navy has selected RRC as its preferred provider for communications services at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa. Our communications operations and maintenance responsibility will include support to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) as well as several other tenants at Camp Lemonnier.”

Rome Research Corp. operates and maintains communications facilities for the U.S. Department of Defense and other agencies throughout the world.
