CAE wins defense contracts valued at more than $139 million

MONTREAL. Canadian training and simulation company CAE has obtained defense contracts -- valued at more than CA$175 million (approximately $139 million) -- to provide simulation products, training services, and in-service support for several global military customers.
One agreement signed for CAE USA -- CAE's facility in Florida -- is a subcontract from Lockheed Martin to support the development of four KC-130J fuselage trainers for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). For this subcontract, CAE will leverage the design of the CC-130J fuselage trainers it had previously delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force and provide a range of simulation systems for the USMC KC-130J trainers, including instructor operator station, aircraft interface monitor, virtual cargo compartment, and virtual simulator.
Under another contract, L3 MAS -- a subsidiary of defense contractor L3 Technologies -- tasks CAE to continue providing in-service support (ISS) services for the Royal Canadian Air Force's CF-18 fleet; L3 MAS and CAE have teamed to provide services and systems engineering support for the CF-18 fleet for many years.
In addition, CAE has booked orders from Airbus Defence & Space related to ISS for the C295W Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) training program for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
