PARIS--EUROSATORY 2022. Defense and security sensor company Hensoldt (Taufkirchen, Germany) is presenting its range of sensor solutions for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations as well as sensors to improve mission safety and operational effectiveness at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.
According to information from Hensoldt, it has teamed up with IVECO Defence Vehicles (Bolzano, Italy) to present the MUV [military utility vehicle] concept demonstrator: For the first time, the MUV will present a modular sensor fusion platform that can be used in both military and civilian arenas for reconnaissance, self-protection, and convoy protection. The basis of the MUV concept demonstrator is an IVECO all-terrain chassis with a maximum payload of 4 metric tons (8,818 pounds) fitted with a Hensoldt sensor suite. The MUV's SETAS, MUSS, Radio Direction Finder, and S3 MIMO systems are connected by a CPU that forms the backbone of the sensor suite.
In addition, Hensoldt is showing its TRML-4D, the latest member of its C-Band (NATO G-Band) ground-based air defense radar family that uses the most recent AESA [active electronically scanned array] radar technology aimed at facilitating near- to long-range ground-to-air detection and weapon assignment. Also showcased is the Hensoldt Twinvis passive radar system, which does not emit any active signal but uses several transmission sources from various locations.
Alongside the ground-based radars, Hensoldt is also showing Eurosatory attnedees its Xpeller counter-UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] system Xpeller, which the company says is highly modular and combines numerous sensors (radar, electro-optics, direction-finders) to target neutralization effectors such as jammers and drone catchers through a single command and control (C2) system.
Eurosatory showgoers may visit Hensoldt at EXT Pe6b, Stand No. D191.
