Agreement signed by Terma and Aselsan to collaborate in radar and EW systems

ISTANBUL. Aselen and Terma signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the IDEF’15 exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey. The MoU’s purpose is to generate an agreement that defines areas of collaboration including the transfer of ownership and intellectual property rights from Terma to Aselan of Terma’s F-16 Modular Reconnaissance Pod.

Aselsan experience is in design, development, and integration of radar and electronic warfare systems. Terma’s experience includes developing, designing, and manufacturing structures for fighter aircrafts that include reconnaissance pods, electronic components, and software to industries within an international defense market.

“Terma’s aerospace experience within electronic warfare equipment including 3-D audio high-end technology provides promising opportunities for collaboration,” says senior vice president, Steen M. Lynenskjold of Terma.

“Collaboration with Terma brings more benefit to our customers who will use the indigenous radar and EW systems designed and developed by Aselsan for fighters,” says Mr. Oğuz Şener, Aselsan vice president and head of Aselsan radar and EW systems business sector .
