LIVERPOOL, N.Y. Lockheed Martin has won a firm-fixed-price order from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) -- worth $22.43 million -- to acquire and retrofit 12 advanced radar-processor systems for the Navy's E-2D Advanced Hawkeye airborne early-warning and control aircraft.

The Northrop Grumman-built Hawkeye -- with its distinctive radome design -- uses the AN/APY-9 radar system for constant 360-degree surveillance.

The contracted work, to be performed in Liverpool, New York, and Andover, Massachusetts, is expected to be done by November 2023.
