SAN DIEGO, Calif. Citadel Defense, the manufacturer of innovative, high-performance counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) solutions for military, government, and commercial markets, announced that its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered system, Titan, has been selected by a military service customer for mission-critical ground and airspace perimeter security deployments overseas. The number of Titan systems delivered and details about the contract were not disclosed by the company.

According to the company, Citadel's Titan C-UAS system was chosen for its combination of usability, performance, and price. The sensor is designed to detect, identify, and defeat ground, sea, and airspace unmanned system threats using technology combined with control software.

The software-defined system has smaller size, weight, and power requirements and has completed tests in combat environments. In high-stress environments, Titan's interface and autonomous configuration are intended to act as Force Multipliers for any unit.

The autonomous Titan system is designed to better the warfighter's situational awareness and force protection of high value assets and resources. Citadel's latest contract is an example of Titan radio frequency systems being utilized as a protection technology against evolving air, ground, and sea unmanned system concerns.
