ALEXANDRIA, Va. The U.S. Air Force has awarded a $50 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to consulting firm Robbins-Gioia (RG), under which RG will aid the Air Force in finding more effective and efficient ways to support Air Force business operations and refine the development of requirements supporting the service's information technology across all 38 mission areas.

Under the terms of the contract, RG will use its LINKProcess methodology, which RG officials say augments traditional requirements management with the evaluation and maturation of new ideas and innovations as part of a structured program aligned with the client's overarching goals. The Air Force will also take advantage of the company's expert facilitation and "ViRGIL," the Virtual RG Innovation Lab.

"The decision by the Air Force to choose RG as a provider of these services is a testament to RG's 38-year history of program leadership in systems modernization for defense and commercial customers," said Jeff Philippart, Director, Defense Business Unit. "Our unique LINKProcess methodology combined with RG's legacy of program management and agile delivery excellence provides a robust framework for elicitation, validation, and collaboration to document and manage complex requirements.  The RG framework accelerates prioritization, modernization, and innovation of systems and business processes."
