U.S. Army - FACE and SOSA Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) Sept. 14

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama. The U.S. Army - FACE and SOSA Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) is still on for September 14, 2021 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This year's event will feature a Keynote Speaker and expert presentations on Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) and Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) related topics by a cross-section of the defense community, industry, and academia.

Attendees will hear presentations from industry and government, detailing the positive impact of FACE and SOSA adoption for buyers (end users), suppliers, integrators, and business representatives, including both Business and Technical lessons learned. This in-person event  will run throughout the day, with industry and government members presenting technical papers. Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to visit more than 50 booth demonstrations. Both the booth demonstrations and the technical papers will highlight the following:


•    MOSA implementations for the avionics and military communities 
•    FACE products and tools that are certified conformant to, or aligned with, the FACE Technical Standard
•    SOSA products, through implementation or conceptual examples, will align to the SOSA Snapshot and demonstrate the positive impact of SOSA adoption
•    Multiple organizations working together to show integration of open standards (FACE, SOSA, HOST, Victory, OpenVPX, etc.) impact of implementation, and lessons learned

The target audience is program managers and procurement managers, across all the services as well as their contractors and suppliers.

The theme for the event is The FACE and SOSA Approaches, a MOSA Implementation for Avionics Software and Hardware.
