FORT WORTH, Texas. - Elbit Systems (Haifa, Israel) announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, has won a contract worth approximately $35 million from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) for repair of line-replaceable units (LRUSs) in support of the V-22 Osprey multirole combat aircraft.
According to the terms of the five-year, firm-fixed-priced contract, Elbit will support NAVSUP with LRUs -- a modular component of an airplane, ship, or spacecraft that is designed to be replaced quickly at an operating location -- for the Osprey.
The repairs will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and Talladega, Alabama; the contract is expected to run until October 2025.
