NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. Defense industry and government experts discuss the challenges of certifying modular systems with open standard interfaces to meet airworthiness and security requirements on the "How can MOSA better support certification of safety- and security-critical systems?" panel at the MOSA Industry and Government Summit and Expo on June 17 at 3 pm EDT at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The speakers -- Bruce Hatton, Vice President Open Architecture, RTX Technology & Global Engineering; Scott Crawford, Technical Fellow, Collins Aerospace; Jeffrey Hostetler, Vice President Engineering, Mission Solutions & Technologies, Sierra Nevada Corp.; and Scott Dennis, Branch Chief for the Aviation Integration Branch for the U.S. Army’s Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (DEVCOM AvMC) Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering & Integration (S3I) Directorate and the Chief Technical Architect (CTA) for the Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation, PEO Aviation U.S. Army -- will also discuss how applying integrated modular avionics (IMA) principles and model-based system engineering (MBSE) can help solve the certification process challenges in MOSA systems..
