CoreAVI announces enhanced configurations to AMD Radeon GPU for mil/aero applications at Embedded World 2014

NUREMBURG, GERMANY. Core Avionics & Industrial Inc. (CoreAVI) has announced their hardware and software solutions to enable the AMD Radeon E8860 to be used by aerospace and defense applications at Embedded World 2014.
The high-performance AMD Embedded Radeon E8860 discrete Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) offers power-performance configurations to address a wide range of mil-aero applications, from higher powered advanced video surveillance, photo realistic synthetic vision, and primary fight displays, to lower powered enhanced 2D, electronic flight bags, and moving map applications.
CoreAVI offers temperature-screened versions of the AMD E8860 GPU complemented with a full suite of OpenGL SC/ES, video decode, and OpenCL software drivers for Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), complete RTCA DO-178C/EUROCAE ED-12C Level A certification packages, and a 20-year program supply management.
A product demonstration of the AMD E8860 will be on display in AMD’s booth (1/1-138) at Embedded World 2014 through February 25-27. Additional CoreAVI product demonstrations will be on display at Esterel Technologies (Hall 4/4-303) and SYSGO (Hall 5/5-371) booths.
