C5ISR contracts for U.S. Navy won by BAE Systems

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Navy selected BAE Systems to design and test communications systems aboard guided missile destroyers and cruisers under two contract with the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) of the Naval Air Systems Command.

In a $212 million contract, BAE Systems will be a prime contractor focused on designing and integrating command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems on Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers and CG-47-class guided missile cruisers.

In a another, separate, potential $104.7 million contract the company will design and test similar C5ISR equipment used by all Navy and Coast Guard vessels.
