Envistacom wins $10 million Army contract to manage tactical communications links

ATLANTA. Defense-technology company Envistacom has won a $10 million contract from U.S. Army Contracting Command ? Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) to provide mission-critical communications and operations support to the U.S. Army 2nd Theater Signal Brigade and 102nd Strategic Signal Battalion.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, Envistacom is tasked with delivering strategic communications systems support for the Enterprise Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Gateway Facility (Landstuhl, Germany), such systems support includes Satellite Communications System (DSCS), Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP), and Teleport and Regional Hub Node (RHN). These communications systems provide vital contact links for deployed U.S. Army and joint forces in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for training and operational missions.
