MELBOURNE, Fla. U.S. Air Force officials rewarded Harris Corp. a follow-on order for Warhead Replacement Tactical Telemetry Modules (WRTTM) for the Air Force Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile. Harris engineers will provide WRTTMs to the Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, under the contract.

The AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) is used along with the long-range target detection radar systems of modern military aircraft.

The Harris-designed WRTTM gave weapon system evaluators flight and performance data about the AMRAAM, as well as the missile’s command-destruct capability from when it is launched from F-15, F-16, and F-22 jets till impact.
