Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II surpasses 10,000 flight hours, will replace U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy fighters - News

FORT WORTH. The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II 5th generation fighter has surpassed 10,000 flight hours. Three types of F-35s were included in the program milestone: the F-35A Conventional Takeoff and Landing (CTOL), the F-35B Short Takeoff/Vertical Landing (STOVL), and the F-35C Carrier Variant (CV). The F-35s underwent 10,077 flight hours over 6,492 test flights, surpassing the 10,000 flight hours in September 2013. This new milestone doubles the safe flight operations of the F-35s in a year, compared to reaching only 5,000 flight hours in the last six years.

Apache radar systems from LONGBOW ordered by Republic of Korea - News

LONDON. The Republic of Korea ordered fire control radars (FCRs) for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter from LONGBOW, LLC, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. It is a foreign military sales contract valued at $51 million. The announcement was made during the DSeI show in London this week.

Lockheed Martin wins $260 million Army contract for Q-53 counterfire radar systems - News

SYRACUSE, NY. The U.S. Army has signed a $260 million contract with Lockheed Martin to build 19 additional AN/TPQ-53 (Q-53) counterfire radar systems. The Q-53, formerly known as the EQ-36, is a long-range radar system that provides enhanced 360-degree protection to soldiers from indirect fire. Mounted on a five-ton truck, the Q-53 can be automatically leveled, rapidly deployed, and remotely operated with a laptop computer or from a fully equipped command vehicle.
