Lockheed Martin demonstrated a process called Spectral Beam Combining, which sends beams from multiple fiber laser modules into a combiner that forms a single, powerful, high-quality beam. This beam culminated into a 30-kilowatt electric fiber laser, which is the highest power that has been documented while retaining full electrical efficiency and beam quality.

The latest Super Hercules is an MC-130J Commando II currently assigned to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command. The Commando II supports missions such as infiltration/exfiltration, in-flight refueling, and aerial delivery and resupply of special operations forces.

Rockwell Collins and Lockheed Martin engineers completed airborne testing of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) and the new Wideband Code Divisional Multiple Access (WCDMA) waveform leveraging the latest version of the Rockwell Collins ARC-210 airborne software defined radio (SDR). Rockwell Collins made the announcement at the MILCOM show in San Diego this week.
