The National Training and Simulation Association officials announced this week at Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, that they have chosen the F-35 Lightning II Training System for the 2014 Modeling & Simulation Awards. It recognizes the F-35 Joint Program Office, the U.S. Air Force’s 33rd Fighter Wing, the F-35 Joint Program Office, and Lockheed Martin for providing an effective, immersive training experience for F-35 pilots and maintainers.

Systems integration testing and software qualification testing of the U.S. Air Force Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) development program have been completed at the Boeing plant in Huntington Beach, CA. Along with a demonstration of FAB-T integration with the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) and Milstar mission control subsystem constellations, the recent tests prove the FAB-T system’s abilities controlling strategic satellite communications payloads on orbit.
