Radar SiP contract announced by Mercury

ANDOVER, Mass. Mercury Systems has signed a $3.9 million multiphase contract award with a leading defense prime contractor for the development of a high-density system-in-package (SiP) solution for radar systems using its 2.5D chipscale integration technology. 

Tom Smelker, vice president and general manager of Mercury’s Custom Microelectronics Solutions group, stated that the new SiP capability will revolutionize applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) and supports the company's goal of using open-standards architecture at chipscale to defense users.

The contract award has an 18-month planned performance and shipment period.
