We proudly offer the latest addition to our family of backplanes for 3U OpenVPX platforms: a 9-slot backplane designed to meet VITA 65 Profile BKP3-CEN09-15.2.17-n. It is available in two versions: one with an expansion control plane and one without. The 9-slot OpenVPX backplane for 3U systems features a centralized routing topology. The switch slot is connected to slots 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Slots 1-3 are also connected on the data plane. In the expansion plane version, those same signals go across slots 6-9. Contiguous groups of slots can have their maskable reset pin joined via jumpers within a provided backplane header.
Both versions are typically shipped with the MultiGig connector per VITA 46. An optional version is available with Amphenol Viper connectors.
All of Elma Bustronic's OpenVPX backplanes are designed to accommodate any of the three transfer speeds specified by the VITA 65 standard: 3.25, 5.0 or 6.25 Gbaud per lane.
