EAGLE I/O-Rich SBCs and Carrier Boards Provide Long-life Off-the-Shelf Complete ARM Computing Solutions
Eletter ProductEagle ARM Baseboard
Diamond Systems’ EAGLE family of compact, rugged ARM single-board computers and carrier boards is designed to work with the Toradex Apalis family of ARM computer-on-modules (COMs). Key highlights of the Eagle/Eaglet solutions are long product lifetime (availability to 2028), configuration flexibility, and a wide range of I/O.
The EAGLE family has two models, the full-size, full-featured Eagle SBC and the smaller sized, low-cost Eaglet. For greatest convenience, customers may purchase a fully configured off the shelf solution from Diamond, including a select ARM module and heat sink installed, or they may purchase the baseboard and ARM module separately for greater configuration flexibility and lower unit cost. Development Kits, including the fully configured SBC, pre-configured Linux OS on a microSD card, and a full cable kit, are available from Diamond Systems.
The Eagle and Eaglet were designed to accommodate the high performance and flexibility of the ARM architecture while providing the ruggedness demanded by harsh environment applications, the I/O needed for real world applications, and multi-expansion sockets for configuration flexibility. The feature-rich boards provide 9-36VDC voltage input (5V optional), Gigabit Ethernet, serial, USB, display (VGA, LVDS, HDMI), analog I/O, digital I/O, and CAN interfaces, in addition to two PCIe MiniCard ports on the bottom for extra compact expandability.
Diamond’s “Midi” compact, expansion-ready enclosure (7.2”W x 6.5”D x 3.2”H) provides a complete packaged industrial computing solution with DIN-rail, bulkhead, and benchtop mount capability.
