GE's GBX411 is a 3U OpenVPX fully managed Layer 2/3 Ethernet switch with up to 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and up to four 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The GBX411 is characterized by its OpenWare™ switch management software, offering comprehensive support for network products. Additional features include support for 1588 precision time protocol, built-in-test, denial of service protection and sanitization capability. The switch includes memory with ECC protection to provide higher reliability in harsh environments and energy-efficient Ethernet.
OpenWare switch management software is GE-developed and supported, and available on selected NETernity™ fully managed Layer 2/3 Ethernet switches. Comprehensive and powerful, this switch management environment provides integrated management services including configuration, monitoring, switching control, addressing, routing and a wide range of networking protocols and can be customized to meet specific customer requirements. OpenWare supports a comprehensive set of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, providing customers with significant capability to configure their network.
The GE Rugged design of the GBX411 is qualified to a number of MIL standards, enabling it to be deployed with absolute confidence on air-, ground- and sea platforms in applications such as surveillance, reconnaissance, radar, sonar and imaging.
The GBX411 offers a number of hardware Ethernet port configuration options, and supports new military initiatives such as the US Army's VICTORY.
