Radar simulator contract for Navy's pilot training program won by Lockheed Martin

FAIRFAX, Va. U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center ? Weapons Division (NAWC-WD) officials tasked Lockheed Martin to provide tactical training products including radar simulators for the Navy?s pilot survivability training program. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract will support the Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range (AEWTTR) program in Ridgecrest, California.
Under contract, engineers will develop threat radar emitter simulators among other target/threat peripheral equipment. Lockheed Martin will also provide Tactical Training Range (TTR) engineering support on legacy radar systems with new technology as well as provide new radar data interfaces and range integration.
The single-award contract spans over five years and has a ceiling value of $424 million.
