BOZEMAN, Mont. Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) has won a contract with Thailand's Defence Technology Institute (DTI) to supply the AVT eXpeditionary Mobile Air Defense Integrated System (X-MADIS), which is a portable system intended to protect critical assets against hostile small unmanned aerial systems (UASs).

According to information from the company, the X-MADIS FS [fixed site] contracted by the DTI combines four all-threat air surveillance radars with an RF detection sensor for reliable detection, classification, and location of state-level or commercial small UASs and uses an electronic warfare (EW) component to neutralize one or more of the small craft. All components are run by the AVT CUAS Suite software to enable seamless operation of the entire system.
