NTDS developer Sabtech now called IXI Technology

YORBA LINDA, Calif. Michael Carter CEO and owner of Navy Tactical Data System (NTDS) designer Sabtech, changed the company's name to IXI Technology as part of a strategic approach to designing advanced technology and as a way to enter new industrial markets worldwide.

IXI Technology still retains its heritage of design, manufacture and support of tactical data communications solutions for military and government agencies -- most notably NTDS solutions for the U.S. Navy.

“We continue to focus on advanced communications technology, exceptional customer service, on-time delivery for the U.S. military and its allies,” Carter says. “The robustness of our specialized interface boards, rugged computer systems and test equipment, our technology is perfect for industrial applications as well.”

Since joining and then acquiring 100 percent of the company a year ago, Carter has launched more than 12 new designs. A third of IXI Technology's staff is dedicated to engineering. The company’s technology development efforts are concentrated on data I/O conversion, high density processors and computing, digital data links, emulation of systems, high definition video sensors and processing, and advanced software algorithms.

The IXI Technology Board of Directors includes Roger Smith, former Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Acquisitions; Harry Halamandaris, former CEO of Litton Industries, and John Stammreich, former Vice President of Global Strategy for Boeing.
