DNA/DNR-MIL Chassis from United Electronics Industries (UEI)
Eletter ProductThe DNA/DNR-MIL chassis are advanced military/aerospace data acquisition and I/O platforms designed to meet most military standards including MIL-STD-810, -461, -1275 and -704 while supporting virtually any input, sensor, and interface I/O. Both chassis are off-the-shelf with the DNA-MIL allowing the installation of up to 4 DNx-series I/O boards while the DNR-MIL supports up to 12 I/O boards. The DNA/DNR-MIL family make it possible to build a fully COTS, custom military-grade I/O system. Custom COTS is no longer an oxymoron.
The DNA-MIL Cube (four I/O slots) is compact, 6.2" x 7.1" x 8.7", while the 12-slot DNR-MIL is 17.5" x 8.1" x 7.0" (standard 4U rack). Functionally, the two units are virtually identical. Either unit may be configured as a VxWorks or Linux based stand-alone/embedded I/O controller or may operate as a slave to an external host computer (connected via Ethernet). When controlled by the host, the DNA/DNR-MIL supports all popular operating systems and programming languages, including Linux, VxWorks, QNX, and application packages including LabVIEW, MATLAB and Simulink. It features built-in-test, self-diagnostic capability for check status operation and worry-free reliability.
Both platforms are supported by UEI's family of over 60 compatible analog, digital and interface I/O boards, including ARINC-429, MIL-1553, CAN, RVDT/LVDT, synchro/resolver, RS-232/422/485, strain gauge, quadrature encoder, high-voltage analog outputs (up to 115 VDC) with high drive analog output (up to 200 mA) and more. All connectivity is through ROHS compliant 38999 connectors.
