CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Boeing officials selected Rockwell Collins to deliver high-resolution 6-by-8-inch color cockpit displays for Air Force B-1 Bomber aircraft. The $21 million contract is part of the Air Force’s Integrated Battle Station Program.
This upgrade is part of a series of aircraft upgrades to retrofit 25-year-old avionics, such as monochrome Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays, with new Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD) technology in aft and forward cockpits.
This contract is a follow-up to a development contract won previously by Rockwell Collins.
