V-22 avionics integration, systems and software engineering support contract won by Raytheon

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. The U.S. Navy Air Systems Command awarded Raytheon a contract to support V-22 Osprey avionics integration, systems, testing, and software. Contract work will be executed by Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services personnel at its facility in Indianapolis.
Under the contract -- potentially valued at as much as $270 million, Raytheon IIS engineers will provide V-22 software support activity systems and software engineering, avionics integration, testing, and acquisition support. This work starts this month and is expected to conclude December 2019.
The V-22 is a joint-service, multi-mission combat aircraft that marries the mobility of a helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft.
