Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Network contract won by Northrop Grumman

ORLANDO, FL. Northrop Grumman Corp. won a U.S. Air Force contract to continue delivering network and integration services under the Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON) 2.0 service contract. The DMON allows dissimilar aircraft platforms scattered across the globe to train and interoperate together in a realistic virtual environment.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio awarded the five-year contract that may extended through June 30, 2023, if all options are exercised. It has a potential value of $490 million. Northrop Grumman has been the prime contractor on the Combat Air Force Distributed Mission Training Operations and Integration program dating back to the beginning of the program in 1999.
"In the years ahead, we stand ready to support the Air Force in extending the reach of DMON to additional sites and platforms, and exploring added capabilities," says Lisa Harris, Northrop Grumman's DMON 2.0 program manager in Orlando, where most of the work will be performed.
