CARLSBAD, Calif. U.S. Army officials awarded Palomar Display Products, Inc. a contract to produce and deliver their Biocular Image Control Unit (BICU) displays for Army M1A2 Abrams tanks.

The award, valued at $28.6 million, was made by the U.S. Army Contracting Command and also has associated spares, repairs, and engineering services.

Palomar's high resolution, optically coupled BICU displays have already been designed and qualified for the M1A2 Abrams tank. The displays will be provided to the Army over a period of five years, through the year 2020.
