Low-rate initial production starts for Raytheon's FAB-T communication terminals

MCKINNEY, Texas. Raytheon is set to start a low-rate initial production of communications terminals for the Family of Advanced Beyond Line of Sight Terminal (FAB-T) program. The decision comes after the U.S. Air Force cleared its Milestone C decision.
Under its current contract, Raytheon engineers will produce airborne and ground terminal variants and deliver spares. They will also provide training, installation, and logistical support.
The Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) terminals link the president of the United States, senior military advisers, and combatant commanders via voice, data, imagery, and video across the world to support various military operations.
Work on the terminals will be performed at the facility in Largo, Florida and Raytheon’s facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts will provide support.
